HERRIARD I vs. WHITCHURCH (A)
Unfortuntely, the rain came down on another fixture for the 1s. Whitchurch batted first and scored 228/9, which is probably considered below par on their pitch. However, this doesn't tell the whole story, with only one of the Whitchurch batters really making an impression...Z. Fredericks with 133 not out. Other than this the top score was 13 so overall, the bowlers did a good job.
In the interval, the rain started pouring and never stopped, a carbon copy of their fixture vs. Old Basing 2s earlier in the year.
HERRIARD II vs. HARTLEY WINTNEY III (H)
The 2s beat the downpour and bowled Hartley Wintney all out for 100 at Herriard Green.
Herriard 2s batted first, and got a mammoth score! 298-7 in their 40 overs. Jagadeesan Marappan and Abhishek Singh with a 118 run partnership, scoring 72 and 66* respectively solidified Herriard's position in the game but were backed up by Mani Singh, with 41 and Antony Aswin with 32 as they reached their large total.
There must have always been fears that the game would be affected by rain, but it luckily stayed away and Herriard were able to get the victory with the spoils shared amongst the bowlers. Sowmi Srini, Pavan Maddula, Abhishek Singh and Jagadeesan Marappan picked up two a piece, with Abhishek Pandey and Rohit Patil finishing proceedings with one each.
HERRIARD vs. STRATFIELD TURGIS & HARTLEY WESPINALL (A)
The midweek team travelled to Stratfield Turgis and Hartley Wespinall on the A33 but were unfortunately on the losing end after putting on a low score for the hosts to chase.
It was a difficult pitch to score on, but Herriard would've liked to score a few more runs from their 18 overs. Lokendra Tomar hit an excellent 52 before retiring not out, but there was little to back this up, with plenty of single figure scores.
Stratfield Turgis and Hartley Wespinall got off to a fantastic start before being dragged back a little by Mick Buckland and Martin Apperley with a few quick wickets. However, this wasn't enough and when the wickets dried up the opposition came home comfortable winners, with just short of four overs remaining.
